Purpose of the Position
Dispenses medication to patients according to prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Complies with accreditation standards from the Ministry of Public Health for Primary Health Care Centers.
Supports and aligns with the Ministry’s vision for developing primary health care in Lebanon.

Terms and Conditions
- The Pharmacist Assistant is expected to adhere to AICA’s code of conduct, safeguarding policies, and visibility guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcomes beneficiaries and assists with obtaining medications.
- Dispenses medications per medical prescriptions, under pharmacist supervision.
- Documents medication dispensing on computer systems and organizes records properly.
- Clearly labels medication packages with usage instructions, ensures patient understanding, and provides appropriate guidance.
- Packages loose medications in small bags under pharmacist supervision.
- Adheres to the center’s medication pricing.
- Prepares a list of available medications by use category and provides copies to each clinic.
- Organizes and stores medications properly, respecting expiration dates.
- Conducts regular inventory checks and reports near-expiry or stagnant medications to the pharmacist.
- Assists with preparing medication orders scientifically.
- Assists in preparing monthly and annual reports on operations, including beneficiary statistics and medication prescription rates
- Promotes MOH primary care goals: patient-centered care, quality improvement, patient satisfaction, service excellence, and staff efficiency.
- Upholds patient respect and professional ethics, including confidentiality.
Must Have
- Education: Nursing diploma (BT, LT, TS).
- Licensing: MOH nursing license and membership in the Lebanese Order of Nurses.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a Primary Health Care Center.
- Friendly demeanor, initiative, good organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Verbal and written communication across departments.
- Basic computer skills (EHR, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), printer, fax.
- Language: Arabic plus English or French.
Nice to have
- At least 2 years in a similar role.
- Knowledge of using the Odoo / Phenix program
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time.
